114. Flatten Binary Tree to Linked List
Given a binary tree, flatten it to a linked list in-place.
For example,
Given
1
/ \
2 5
/ \ \
3 4 6
The flattened tree should look like:
1
\
2
\
3
\
4
\
5
\
6
Hints:
If you notice carefully in the flattened tree, each node's right child points to the next node of a pre-order traversal.
Analysis:
Right to left Post order traversal, use a global variable prev to store previous root so that we can attach prev to next root.right
Complexity:
Time: O(N)
Space: O(logn)
Code:
/**
* Definition for a binary tree node.
* public class TreeNode {
* int val;
* TreeNode left;
* TreeNode right;
* TreeNode(int x) { val = x; }
* }
*/
public class Solution {
private TreeNode prev;
public void flatten(TreeNode root) {
if(root == null)
{
return;
}
flatten(root.right);
flatten(root.left);
root.right = prev;
root.left = null;
prev = root;
}
}
